  • Rebates may be available through an EPC plan from your GP, for up to 5 sessions, at the GP's discretion.  

    Mental Health Care Plans are not accepted at this time. Most services do not attract a Medicare rebate.

    If you hold a private health policy, please also check for any rebates that may apply.

  • The Chronic Disease GP Management plans or Team Care Arrangements can be arranged by a GP.

    These plans allow clients to receive up to five (5) Allied Health sessions per calendar year.

    To claim the rebate you will need to submit the receipt provided by Little Forest Therapy to Medicare, and they will refund an amount into your bank account.

    In order to use this plan at Little Forest Therapy, we require a copy of your referral with Little Forest Therapy listed as the provider of the Occupational Therapy Service. The claimable rebate for each session is currently $53.80.

  • To claim from your Health Fund for Occupational Therapy you will need to contact your individual health fund regarding the amount that you are entitled to claim. The relevant item numbers for Occupational Therapy are:

    • 100-Initial Appointment (Assessment)

    • 200-Subsequent Appointment

    You you can submit your receipt to your health fund for claiming.

  • No, we are not NDIS registered by choice. We only provide services to NDIS participants who are plan-managed or self-managed.

  • We will provide you with an invoice that you then use to submit a payment request.

  • We will forward invoices for payment to the plan manager. Contact details of the Plan Manager will need to be provided to Little Forest Therapies.

Individual therapy sessions include 45-60min of intervention or parent coaching. 15-30min of administration duties (i.e. preparation and documentation) are charged separately. Telehealth appointments and liaising with external stakeholders are charged at the same hourly rate.

Charged in 15 minute increments calculated at $190/hr for letter-writing and phone calls.

Please note the following:

  • Travel fees, paid parking (where applicable) and surcharges are charged for out-of-clinic sessions.

  • Payment for sessions is required on-the-day. If sessions are undertaken outside of the clinic, over-the-phone payment is available.

  • Additional fees may be charged for assessments, certain interdisciplinary communication and writing reports. These services are subject to 7-day payment terms.

  • Sessions may include work alone with the young person, alone with the parents and/or together. Family therapy is not available.

Fees effective from 1st July 2024, our fees are reviewed on 1st July each year.

cancellation policy

Please contact the clinic as soon as possible to either make changes or cancel your appointment. 

In order to ensure that we can offer a fair service, 48 hours notice is required for cancellations. All cancellations within 48 hours notice will incur a fee. This fee will vary and depend on the notie period for the cancelled/ missed appointment:

  • ALL cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice of your appointment will incur a $100 fee.

  • If you fail to attend your appointment without notifying the clinic, a fee equivalent to the cost of the consultation will apply. 

  • Multiple cancellations may restrict a therapeutic relationship. It is at the clinicians’ discretion to cease a working relationship if this occurs.
